Functional Testing

Functional testing is the quickest way to identify the root cause of your symptoms helping to tailor your nutrition plan to get you back to feeling balanced quicker.

Here are four of my favourite tests and who they are suitable for:

Advanced Blood Analysis

A comprehensive blood test to provide an overall view of your health, helping to identify areas that may require support or help to rule things out. It will provide insight into vital organ function, changes in energy, frequent illness, blood sugar regulations, thyroid health, high or low vitamin and mineral status, inflammation, and hormonal or mood imbalances.

From £249 plus additional cost of phlebotomy appointment to take blood sample (around £60)

DUTCH Hormone Test

The DUTCH Test is a comprehensive urine test that looks at how your body metabolises and detoxifies sex hormones, as well as cortisol (our main stress hormone) and melatonin (our sleep hormone). It involves collecting several urine samples over a 24-hour period, making it simple and non-invasive.

This test is particularly helpful if you’re experiencing signs of hormonal imbalance such as premenstrual symptoms, irregular periods, symptoms of perimenopause or menopause (with or without HRT), fertility issues, hormonal acne, brain fog, insulin resistance, anxiety, or concerns related to men’s health.

Organic Acids Test

This test analyses urinary metabolites to assess metabolic function, nutrient insufficiencies and health. It includes biomarkers for intestinal microbial overgrowth, neurotransmitters and detoxification.
